Job Description
We are a Land Surveying firm with four offices in Florida, specializing in land development, oil/gas, energy, geospatial mapping, commercial surveys and Subsurface Utility Engineering.
We provide high quality Subsurface Utility Engineering (S.U.E.) data tailored to our clients needs using a combination of survey mapping, ground penetrating radar, electromagnetic sensors and excavation technologies.
We are currently seeking a SUE/Utility Locate Technician/Crew Leader to join our growing Tampa team who is self-motivated to accurately mark utilities including water, reclaimed water, force main, gas, electric, communications, etc. using electromagnetic pipe and cable locators, ground penetrating radar, vacuum excavation, probe rods and other acceptable means.
Qualifications and Responsibilities:
2 years utility locating experience
Able to complete locates safely, accurately and on time
Able and willing to work outside in various weather conditions
Able to read and understand utility prints
Able to drive and operate vacuum excavation truck (Non-CDL)
Excellent communication skills
Strong computer skills
Able to work overtime and some weekends
Valid driver s license

Work Location: Multiple Locations
Responsibility for the assigned vehicle and all of the equipment that is checked out to the crew. Responsibility for scheduling routine maintenance on the vehicle and reporting any mechanical problems to the Mechanic in a timely manner. Responsibility for reporting any problems with the survey equipment. Responsibility for acquiring the work assignments for the day and all information necessary to complete the work. Responsibility for survey note keeping. Responsibility for each member of the crew, including overseeing job performance, conduct, work habits, and providing training. Responsibility for the safety crew, including proper attire, ensuring that safety cones, signs, and vests are used when necessary. Responsibility for accurately recording and turning in the daily time sheet for the crew. Responsibility for recommending crew members for promotions, disciplinary action, and/or dismissal.
