Junior Storekeeper

Responsibilities

• Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying accuracy and condition of goods
• Unpack and organize merchandise on shelves and in storage areas
• Label and tag items with appropriate pricing information
• Maintain accurate inventory records and update stock levels
• Assist customers with locating and retrieving merchandise
• Process sales transactions and handle cash and credit card payments
• Conduct regular stock checks and report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor
• Keep the store clean and tidy by ensuring shelves are well-stocked and products are neatly displayed
  

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proven experience in a similar role is preferred but not required
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to follow safety procedures and guidelines
• Knowledge of inventory management systems is a plus
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items as required
