Java Back end developer

Skills & Qualifications:

• Analytical mindset and strong problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Java programming with a focus on software design, testing, and debugging.
• Experience in creating and updating software documentation.
• Strong understanding of software development fundamentals and processes.
• Professional software development experience with a focus on distributed/scalable systems.
• Proficiency in Java 8/11/17, Maven, Gradle, Git, Spring framework (including Spring Boot), JPA/Hibernate/QueryDSL, RxJava, Elastic Search, and Angular 12+ (a plus).
• Knowledge of JMS (ArtemisMQ), graph databases, testing tools (EasyMock, Spock, Mockito, JUnit 5, DBUnit), application architecture, and design patterns.
• Familiarity with microservices, Command Query Responsibility Segregation (CQRS), and clean architecture.
• Experience working in Unix environments, Oracle, PostgreSQL RDBMS, Git, IntelliJ (IDE), and the Atlassian toolchain for CI/CD.
• Exposure to containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes, Rancher) and AWS cloud services, including S3 Object Storage (a plus).
• Fluent in English (spoken and written), knowledge of the Dutch language is a plus.
• Constructively critical mindset with proactive problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive and initiative-driven.
• Ability to take ownership of assigned tasks and projects.
