We have an exciting opportunity for a driven IT Technical Specialist to join the team at our Premier Inn Regional Office in Dubai.


This role is required to drive a strategic and functional approach to both Infrastructure and security management, as well as providing day to day support to IT operations. This role reviews, analyses and recommends best practice approach and provides innovative proactive solutions to infrastructure and security matters. Is responsible for all documentation, implementation and transparent and effective communication to the business.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic planning and management of infrastructure and security systems in accordance with departmental goals. You will develop, communicate and implement effective policies and processes ensuring compliance; build and maintain relationships through effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

The IT Tech Specialist will also be responsible for Infrastructure maintenance monitoring and management for the PI Hotels along with accountability for maintaining documentation and providing reporting


Key Accountabilities:

  • Have a thorough understanding of the technology ecosystem, brand standards and business and department objectives and how this relates to the infrastructure and security requirements.
  • Develop annual plan and objectives that focuses on key deliverables for IT Services Planning with consideration to Capacity, availability and recovery requirements, including operational cost/time analysis in accordance with departed budgets to achieve long term strategic goals.
  • Design, implement and test Infrastructure Solutions in accordance with business requirements and project plans
  • Ensure effective capacity management ensuring that appropriate resources are available to meet business requirements.
  • Proactive monitoring of environment and alert resolution
  • Act as the primary point of contact for infrastructure Service Providers including Datacenter, Internet Service Providers, Security solutions etc.
  • Relationship and account management of all allocated vendors including holding regular service meetings and communicating the corrective actions and ensuring that meetings are fully documented and communicated where needed
  • Design and management of all Infrastructure services such as Directory services, DNS, DHCP, authentication, remote access solutions etc.


Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor in Computer Applications (BCA) or Bachelor of Science (BS) in Computer Engineering.


Certifications:

  • Microsoft MCSE or equivalent
  • Cisco CCNP or equivalent.
  • ITIL Foundation minimum, Intermediate preferred.





Experience:
  • At least 5-7 years of proven international experience, in a diverse organization focused on customer facing roles and Technical Support including management exposure. Exposure to other IS disciplines is beneficial to the role.
  • Experience in supporting infrastructure including exposure to multi-vendor network environments, multi-vendor server environments, firewall administration
  • Hospitality experience and hotel opening project experience desirable. Cisco CCNP or equivalent
