Intermediate Project Engineer

Working with an energetic and high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in:

• Successful participation in, and completion of roadway, highway and freeway projects, and/or well multi-modal corridors including median LRT/BRT
• Coordinating designs and providing technical direction to junior design staff
• Collaboration in small and large teams. Integration with other engineering fields, engineers and design staff in the production of high-quality project deliverables
• Production of conceptual design, detailed design, and technical specifications, cost and schedule estimating for new highway, road and road reconstruction projects
• Preparation of reports, and contract documents for review agencies, clients, and the public
• Maintaining contact with sub-consultants, municipalities, utility companies and clients
• Exposure to project planning, development and monitoring of project schedules, and budgets are considered assets but not required.
  

What you will bring to the team:

• 6+ years' experience in design and engineering of transportation infrastructure projects
• Post-secondary degree in Civil Engineering
• Ontario P.Eng. designation required (or eligible)
• Familiarity with geometric design principals (i.e. TAC Geometric Guidelines) and Ontario design standards (i.e. OPSS) and client specific standards and requirements (i.e. MTO)
• MTO and Metrolinx experience are considered assets
• Familiarity with Civil 3D and/or InRoads are considered assets
