Integration Test Field Technician GNSS

We are recruiting an Integration Test Field Technician (GNSS)for apermanent position with a national champion delivering high tech products for government.

The technicians responsibilities include deploying equipment, preparing setups, monitoring and servicing systems, diagnosing problems and troubleshooting equipment, running tests and completing reports, updating and improving existing systems, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment. The candidate should collaborate with other professionals and be able to make useful recommendations wherever possible. The candidate should demonstrate strong self-discipline, be detail-oriented, and have passion for being part of the GNSS integration team.

Job responsibilities:

• Deploy GNSS systems in platforms or field
  
• Prepare setups for testing the system in the laboratory and field
  
• Inspecting, analyzing, and troubleshooting systems and equipment
  
• Reading repair manuals and liaising with other professionals
  
• Ability to develop applications (Matlab, Python, CVI ) to enhance requested tests or deployments
  
• Running tests and interpreting results to make effective recommendations
  
• Writing up reports, safety regulations, and preventative maintenance plans
  
• Sourcing replacement parts
  
• Repairing or replacing faulty equipment
  
• Interpret work appropriately and provide ideas for improvement to the engineering team
  
• Keeping abreast of advancements in your field and attending workshops as required
  
  

Requirements

• Professional college certificate
  
• A relevant degree, certification, or license may be required
  
• At least 5 years experience as a technician in projects related to radio frequency or antennas, and desirable in GNSS
  
• Experience in laboratory tests and setups related to Radio frequency systems
  
• Knowledge about RF simulation programs (AWR, VSS, etc )
  
• A drivers license
  
• Ability to multitask and liaise with professionals in different fields
  
• Ability to explain problems simply and clearly
  
• Proficiency in MS Office
  
• Ability to understand verbal and written instructions
  
• Ability to follow health and safety regulations
  
• Excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills
  
• Knowledge in developing applications to automate or manage tests (Matlab, Python, CVI .).
