- Understand Risk: to ascertain the risk of operating a facility, process unit, system, or component,
- Risk Criteria: to establishing risk criteria to judge acceptability of risk,
- Risk Scoring: to rank the equipment by their criticality (risk),
- Risk Management: to plan inspection strategy (on-stream and off-stream) with the aim to reduce risk to an acceptable level,
- Inspection Plan Input: to identify input for written scheme of examination preparation.
