Responsibilities
Tasks
- Assess patients physical abilities
- Supervise technical and support staff
- Administer evaluative tests and procedures
- Hire and train staff
- Order and purchase equipment
- Plan physiotherapy programs
- Administer budget
- Select appropriate exercises, apparatus and manipulations
- Maintain clinical and progress reports
- Confer with other health professionals
- Conduct research in physiotherapy
- Teach and/or supervise exercises to patients
Requirements
Education
- Bachelors degree
Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses
- Alliance of Physiotherapy Regulatory Boards Examination

Some secondary school education and on-the-job training or a nursing aide or health care aide college or private institutional program, or a college nursing orderly program and supervised practical training are required. Preference would be given to Bachelor Degree Holder in Nursing
