Implementation Technologist

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with the planning and execution of fabric maintenance work and applicable experience within the oil and gas industry
• Possess relevant certificates and training related to fabric maintenance activities, such as: NACE qualifications, scaffold inspection training, Red Seal trade qualification and/or other trades tickets
• Extensive experience and understanding of fabric maintenance including estimating construction person-hours, the installation of various coatings and insulation systems, material procurement and evaluation, and competency in using technical data sheets
• Good working knowledge of project management
• Strong understanding of implementation principles and objectives
• Understanding of the operation and proven competency in fabric maintenance with respect to industrial facilities. Preference of experience with offshore production platforms
• Capable of reading, understanding and interpreting engineering and vendor drawings and documentation
• Ability to understand and recognize potential problems during construction and commissioning
• Proven organizational, planning and cost management skills
• Competency in the use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Preferred candidates to possess a Technical Diploma from a recognized post-secondary institution
• Any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills, and abilities have been achieved may also be considered
• Currently authorized to lawfully work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood, is required
