HVAC Solar Procurement Engineer

• Efficient planning and purchasing of engineering materials and services from RFQ-to-order cycle management - vendor sourcing and price and terms negotiation; completion of tenders and RFPs and procurement of goods and services through to delivery.
• Initial preparation and issuance of Request for Quotations (RFQs) for a wide array of products, materials and services.
• Review quotations, negotiate prices and provide a cost-benefit analysis to drive cost savings.
• Proactively follow up with placed orders, shipment schedules and deliveries, customs clearance, verify delivery and approve payments.
• Source and evaluate vendors and contractors based on quality, price and speed of delivery.
• Negotiate existing and new contracts to deliver value and reduce costs.
• Maintain an accurate database of suppliers and conduct regular performance reviews with suppliers to drive continuous improvements to minimize substandard products and services and implement corrective action plans.
• Conducting continuous market analysis to monitor and forecast based on variable market conditions.
• Coordinate with the warehouse team to manage inventory control of equipment and materials; ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.

Mandatory Skills & Experience

• 5 – 7 years’ UAE experience in engineering local and overseas buying, purchasing and procurement of based on vendor sourcing, reviewing material specifications and product quality; analyzing quotations and making procurement recommendations.
• Vendor management – experience of evaluating suppliers based on quality, price and delivery.
• Ability to read engineering drawings. Experience of AutoCAD is a strong advantage.
• Ability to understand technical and commercial requirements - proficiency in administering and negotiating prices and contracts terms.
• Extensive UAE experience in procurement of compressors, heaters, pumps, condensers, heat exchangers, cooling lines and solar materials and equipment
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and EPR skills.
• UAE driving license is a strong advantage.
