HSE Manager

Growing traditional consulting firm looking to add a talented Lead Structural Engineer to their St. Paul office!

Responsibilities:

• Serve as national/regional technical expert in a specialized discipline or functional expertise
  
• Assist and/or serve as Project Manager by assigning tasks and schedules to team, answering questions, and monitoring progress
  
• Create QA/QC standards and confirm standards are met
  
• Identify issues and seek resolutions
  
• Assist with bidding/contractor selection
  
• Monitor construction, data collection, and field personnel
  
• Answer contractor questions
  
• Prepare/issue project addenda
  
• Recommend/prepare change orders
  
• Develop proposals that include calculation/estimate of time schedules and costs
  
• Sign/seal engineering documents as an authorized company representative
  
• Communicate project progress with client
  
• Mentor/train junior staff
  
• Participate in technical/professional organizations to keep current and represent firm
  
• Assist with business development
  

Requirements:

• B.S. or Masters degree in Engineering
  
• 6+ years of design experience
  
• Building/non-building structure design experience
  
• Advanced knowledge of structural design software and MS Office
  
• P.E.or S.E. License
  
• Ability to operate technical analysis and computer equipment and serve as a technical advisor to team
