Job Description

  • Monitor daily arrivals according to occupancy report in co-ordination with the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Answering the telephone according to hotel standards and recording incoming requests and messages in order to communicate this information to concerned in a timely fashion.
  • Handling the safekeeping, recording, collection of all keys and pagers held in the Housekeeping Office to ensure a safe and secure work environment.
  • Reporting any Guest concerns by reacting quickly, logging and notifying the proper areas.
  • Handle and assist in department training and orientation of new joiners and conduct regular training to improve job performance, meet guidelines and standards of service and operation. .
  • Maintaining good relations with other interfacing departments.
  • Anticipate guest needs and takes ownership of guest concerns and requests; act decisively to ensure guest satisfaction. Offer a special service touch when an opportunity is presented.
  • Ensure that guest requests for additional linen or bathroom supplies are delivered promptly (within 10 - 15 minutes).
  • Waste disposal in line hotel sustainability practices
  • Report room defects to Housekeeping Supervisor immediately.
  • Receiving Lost and Found items and recording and storing them as per standard.
  • Demonstrate understanding and awareness of all policies and procedures relating to Health, Hygiene and Fire Life Safety.

What We Need From You

  • Communication skills - guests will need to come to you with concerns as well as compliments, so you'll be easy to talk to
  • Your problem-solving skills will turn issues into opportunities, so every guest leaves with great memories
  • Fluency in the local language - extra language skills would be great, but not essential
  • Literate and tech-savvy - you'll need a good grasp of reading, writing, basic math and computers.
  • Flexibility - night, weekend and holiday shifts are all part of the job.
  • You'll have a high school diploma or qualification. A college or university degree would be a bonus, but not essential
  • Experience - ideally, you'll have spent at least one year in a front desk or guest service position.
  • Strength - sometimes you'll need to lift, push and pull big objects up to 50lbs (23 kg). This can involve bending and kneeling.
