Client > Newly established government-owned sovereign wealth fund in Emirates established in January 2026 to focus on real estate infrastructure development and economic diversification

Ideal Candidate > The ideal candidate is a Senior Legal & Compliance executive with 20 years of experience preferably gained within large international corporations investment groups or government-related entities. Strong expertise in corporate governance regulatory compliance risk management and complex transactions combined with solid exposure to the UAE/GCC regulatory environment. Proven ability to advise Boards and C-level executives on strategic legal and compliance matters.

Main Tasks > 1) Leads the legal regulatory and compliance agenda of the free zone ensuring all policies operations licensing activities and governance frameworks are aligned with applicable Abu Dhabi UAE federal and free zone-specific laws and regulations 2) Oversees legal risk management corporate governance regulatory engagement compliance monitoring and enforcement mechanisms to safeguard the free zone’s integrity 3) Support investor confidence and ensure adherence to evolving regulatory directives and statutory requirements 4) Acts as the principal advisor to executive leadership and the Board on legal regulatory and compliance matters.
