Job Summary

This role is crucial for individuals with handson experience in the maintenance and overhaul of various types of rotating equipment. As a Rotating Equipment Engineer in our department you will be a central figure in maintaining and repairing key equipment for one of the most advanced energy companies globally.

Responsibilities:

• Provide technical support for the repair and overhaul of rotating equipment including dismantling diagnosing assembling testing and issuing related technical reports.
• Offer technical consultation to Shops Operating Repair Units and Contractor Shops.
• Support field installation maintenance and repair of rotating equipment.
• Troubleshoot repair and modify existing equipment focusing on cost reductions and process improvements.
• Prepare design engineering packages for rotating equipment.
• Conduct technical investigations for shop repair return jobs to identify root causes corrective actions and lessons learned.
• Implement the latest technology in repair methodology.
• Develop and revise the departments technical procedures and standards.
• Coach and share knowledge with junior engineers quality inspectors and technicians.
• Provide technical input for purchasing specifications including technical proposal evaluation.
• Liaise with department engineers Consulting Services Department (CSD) other company departments and manufacturers.
• Collaborate with InHouse Repair Units Quality Assurance units InKingdom Contractors vendors and manufacturers in shop repair work scopes.
• Participate in vendor and customer exchange meetings.

Requirements:

• This role required candidate to permanently relocate at Abqaiq and Jeddah Saudi Arabia.
• Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of handson experience in the mechanical field particularly with rotating equipment.
• Proven experience in mechanical design troubleshooting and major repair of oil and gas rotating equipment such as gas compressors steam turbines pumps and gearboxes.
• Experience in an original equipment manufacturing facility or certified repairing facility for steam turbines gas compressors and diesel engines.
• Excellent proficiency in English reading and writing.
