About the Team
Tencents Overseas Game Research Team is looking for an Analyst (Arabic native speaker English fluent). The teams role is to provide Tencents business and operations teams with detailed analysis on game content assess earlystage opportunities identify industry trends portfolio gaps and help our overseas landscape to grow. This role is visible across Tencents IEG team who relies heavily on the insights from our team to inform critical decisions in our games.
1. Perform deep research about MENA gaming market. Provide insightful feedback identify potential genre opportunity and support decision making in overseas publishing.
2. Prepare holistic content analysis assessing a games merits across all key components for potential publishing opportunity in MENA market. (game design game mechanics balance art game economy total addressable audience etc.)
3. Compile regular reports on specific genres or industry trends via infographics visuals and research synthesis.
4. Monitor consumer trends in MENA across the PC Console and Mobile landscape and share findings with internal teams.
5. Extensive playtest and review games submitted to Tencent for evaluation across a variety of platform and genres as well as all notable new market releases.
6. Perform due diligence on game development studios globally and prepare comprehensive reports covering the teams strengths and weaknesses. Give insightful comments on investment codevelopment and other potential opportunities.
Requirements:
1. A minimum of 3 years of working in gaming industry with a proven track record. Strong understanding of MENA market culture and users. Familiar with overseas development team culture and work flow.
2. Strong passion for interactive entertainment and a deep understanding of gameplay systems and mechanics. Rich gaming experience across platforms is REQUIRED. We would recommend you list up the game you have been playing recently or the games you enjoyed. Reviews/comments on any game would be appreciated.
3. Strong research and problemsolving skills creative thinking global mindset and excellent communication skills in a multicultural environment.
4. University Degree in a relevant field is preferred.
5. Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
