Job Description

Ensure all guests are warmly greeted, acknowledged and maintain visual contact in accordance with hotel brand service standards and GSHA objectives.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of front desk procedures and computer system.
Handle all guest requests promptly, taking personal responsibility to ensure guest satisfaction.
Anticipates guest needs by observing and providing prompt and efficient service either in person or through effective communication with other staff members.
Use the guest's name when possible according to hotel standards.
Find out about all room types, their availability, prices, group movement, invoices, daily events, promotions and important clients.
Handle guest letters, faxes, and mail, ensuring that information sent is accurate, complete, and delivered promptly.
Conveying information and messages to the right individuals in a timely and effective manner.
Communicates and collaborates effectively with colleagues at all levels, recognizing the importance of teamwork in hotel operations.
Be knowledgeable about the facilities and points of interest in Dubai and surrounding areas to assist with any guest enquiries.
Make sure to have all the necessary information upon check-in, according to the hotel's credit procedures.
Learn about all coupons and group billing procedures.
Adhere to hotel credit procedures and policies at all times.
Handle guest check-out process, ensuring manual billing and posting processes are carried out in accordance with hotel standards.
Maintain cash and accurately handle money at all times.
Be conversant and efficient with foreign currencies and their exchange rates to provide foreign currency exchange services to guests.
Maintain a daily log and make a helpful handover for next shifts ensuring all relevant information is passed clearly.
Maintain work area clean and tidy according to hotel standards.
