Education and training:
Hold a bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field.
Some places may require a master's degree or professional accounting certifications such as CPA (certified accountant) or CMA (certified management accountant).
Experience:
Previous work experience as an accountant, especially in the field of financial accounting.
Experience using approved accounting software is preferred.
Technical skills:
Strong skills in using accounting software and Microsoft Office packages, including Excel and Word.
Deep understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
