Financial Accountant

Seeking a Safety Manager for a GREAT company in Carrollton, TX. Lots of growth opportunities and a great culture.

Provides appropriate safety and health, accident prevention, and investigation training for managers and supervisors. Inspection of workplaces to assure safe and healthful conditions for workers. Develops, implements, and oversees product safety policies, procedures, and standards in a manufacturing unit and assures that all products in an establishment is safe. Maintains documentation, assures products meet quality standards, educates suppliers, and conducts safety audits.

Requirements:
• Inspects the facility to identify safety, health, and environmental risks.
•Develops and implements inspection policies and procedures, and a schedule of routine inspections.
• Develops health and safety procedures for all areas of the company.
• Prepares and schedules training to cover emergency procedures, workplace safety, and other relevant topics.
• Monitors compliance with safety procedures.
• Drafts inspection reports to document inspection findings.
• Ensures that material safety data sheets are maintained and readily accessible when needed.
• Maintains records of discharge of or employee exposure to hazardous waste and/or pollutants, as required.
• Assists, plans, and implements safety policies and procedures in compliance with local, state, and federal rules and regulations including Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and Department of Transportation (DOT).
• Performs safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measures were indicated and follows up to ensure measures have been implemented.
• Conducts post-accident investigation and prepares report identifying possible accident causes and hazards for use by company personnel and senior management.
• Assists in the development, evaluation and upgrading of safety programs.
• Assist and maintain environmental reports including Storm water permits, SPCC etc.
• Supports, and complies with all quality management systems, continuous improvement programs, food safety, employee safety, preventative maintenance programs and legality.
• Prefer experience in OSHA, MSHA, DOT and EPA regulatory requirements.
• Supports and complies with GMPs
• Follows all company policies and procedures.
