Director of Communications

Qualifications

• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in a senior communications role, preferably within a non-profit organization.
• Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing effective communications strategies.
• Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques, including digital marketing and social media.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing media relations (online, broadcast, and print).
• Highly collaborative with experience working in a team-oriented, consensus-driven environment.
• Knowledge of the non-profit sector and experience working with various stakeholders including donors, volunteers, and the community.
• Experience in crisis communications planning and management.
