WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH:



The Director, Market Reputation, will lead market reputation efforts across the Middle East and be responsible for developing and executing a marketing strategy that strengthens Bains reputation in each market, in partnership with office leadership and aligned with firm strategy & commercial objectives. You will focus on increasing Bain's awareness in the highest value business communities on topics relevant across clients and reinforcing Bains perception as the leading consulting partner to ambitious senior executives.

In addition, this role will add value by providing guidance to the Middle East leadership team, and acting as a strategic sparring partner for senior marketing colleagues. The ideal candidate will collaborate with other marketing teams to achieve firm-wide marketing objectives. As part of his duties, this individual will coach and develop marketing team members and optimize investment across channels. Finally, this leader will build a culture of innovation to continually evolve our Middle East marketing strategy.



WHAT YOU'LL DO:



Develop Market Reputation strategy for Middle East region

Build marketing strategy and define supporting initiatives in collaboration with leadership

Proactively suggest ways to collaborate with and leverage Practice Marketing, Account Marketing, and Center of Excellence initiatives, resources and tools

Develop view on optimal mix of topics/activities to further Market Reputation effectiveness




Manage the budget, annual planning process, and ongoing process improvement
Incorporate test and learn approach to inform program evolution



Identify, prioritize, and project manage marketing campaigns and supporting activities

Design based on optimal mix of topics/activities and their sequence to maximize impact

Identify relevant 3rd party partnerships, sponsorships, and conferences & events,

Manage partner and vendor relationships

Leverage digital assets and channels: web content, partner profiles, LinkedIn bios, content distribution, etc.

Develop proactive and reactive media strategies, work with global PR team to ensure Bain is top of mind with key local and international media




Own, plan and execute Market Reputation Marketing activities, to potentially include


Editorial:Tailor global content to local community needs, distribute in local market(s), and manage any local agencies and providers



Brand & Creative:Adapt content to the Middle East business community, create/edit/distribute, and strengthen reputation and brand perception across Middle East.



PR & External Communications:Oversee all local PR activities to establish and grow Bains presence in most influential business media (traditional and emerging), manage collaboration with general media, premium publications and local PR agencies as needed. Help frontline leaders build a public profile focused on expertise. Manage participation in relevant market studies and rankings.



Digital Mailings and CRM:Use firm email marketing offerings to reach imperative segments, manage and maintain local contacts/influencers



Digital Marketing and Social Media:Oversee Middle East website and other digital content, design campaigns that leverage global efforts to effectively reach target audiences, develop and distribute local social media content



Conferences & Events:Design, plan and execute market reputation Bain events, inform and support Conference & Events Center of Excellence efforts in market



Alumni:Develop and oversee local alumni segmentation and engagement strategy, including communications and events that support and augment/dovetail with Market Reputation, Practice and Account efforts given the languages in the region, the work will performed in English and Arabic.





Manage a team of marketers(3 FTEs), to ensure understanding of Bainsbusiness, expertise development in most critical channels and application that supports firm objectives.

Develop and deploy team resources in support of strategy

Ensure approach consistent with marketing ways of working, leveraging technologies, assets and expertise across the organization


Provide coaching, professional development and ensure sense of affiliation


Demonstrate Bain operating principles

Work collaboratively with other Marketing functions to ensure plans are aligned/complementary to achieve firm goals

Manage collection of data on local market intelligence, track performance against defined targets and evaluate performance on an ongoing basis


Represent Marketing within the local office / cluster,and represent office/cluster within wider Marketing network







ABOUT YOU:

Education

Masters degree in business / marketing / communications / social sciences, focus on marketing

Experience



8-10 years of relevant B2B marketing experience (Required)



5+ years of people management experience, successfully developing others (Required)



Proven track record in similar role (Required)


Professional services marketing experience, or other sector(s) with content marketing focus (Preferred)


Relevant agency experience, or other developing impactful B2B campaigns with focus on premium media, digital channels(Preferred)



Experience leading employer branding initiatives(Preferred)



Knowledge & Skills

Required


Broad expertise and experience in B2B marketing programs and processes

Ability to proactively conceive and suggest new approaches and solutions, influence senior leaders on key strategic issues

Provide advice to regional marketing leadership on programs and processes

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, multi-tasking and prioritizing as needed

Client-centric mind set

Ability to understand and work with consulting content and thought leadership

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure

Role model in Bain Operating Principles

Proficient in English

Arabic preferred

Willing to travel within Middle East (and potentially other locations) as needed


Preferred:


Visible within office and viewed as positive influence on culture and morale

Plays active leadership role as mentor / coach to others in Middle East offices and EMEA region
