- Deliver the seasonal design themes directional boards in line with global trends and home centre customer taste and commercial calendar (concept, colour palette product direction, print direction, design briefs etc.)
- Research and analyse actively the Design Watch and its communication within the company (Exhibitions reports, fairs, territory visits, etc.)
- Facilitate the global trend direction and coordination through the Home Centre Style Guide.
- As a product designer for hard goods, your primary responsibility will be to create innovative and functional designs for various products.
- You will work closely with buyers & manufacturers to develop products that meet the needs of the target market. This involves conducting market research, creating sketches and prototypes, and testing the product for functionality and durability.
- The designer will be responsible for ensuring that the products adhere to industry standards and regulations, also making necessary modifications to the design to meet these standards.
- To excel in this role, you will In terms of technical skills, proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software is a must.. You must also have a good understanding of materials and manufacturing processes to ensure that your designs are feasible and cost-effective.
- Creativity is at the core of product design, and as such, you must possess a strong sense of aesthetics and be able to think outside the box. You should also have a good understanding of functional design and the ability to design products that are user-friendly and visually appealing.
- Conduct regular competitor and middle east market analysis.
- As a product designer, you will be working with a team, and the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively is crucial for the success of the project.
