Design Engineer - Bridge Structures

• Assist with the development of design concepts, carrying out detailed design of bridges, underpasses, rail structures and other infrastructure structures.
• Produce detailed design information including calculations and design sketches.
• Liaise with CAD/BIM Technician for production of drawings.
• Plan and carry out site inspections of structures, if required.
• Prepare technical reports.
• Carry out risk assessments and provision of design information for Health and Safety file.
• Inspection, assessment and strengthening of road/rail bridges and other structures.
• Report writing and production of technical reports and documents.

Specific Skills Required

• Must have minimum relevant experience between 2 to 8 years of hands on experience in design of Bridges, underpasses and other infrastructure structures. UAE/ME projects experience would be preferred.
• Shows willingness and enthusiasm, actively contributes.
• Supports colleagues, seen as a team player
• Relevant experience in inspection and assessment of bridges and other transportation structures is preferable.
• Verifies that work carried out is correct as per client requirement.
• Knowledge sharing to junior engineers.
• Experience with various software packages for analysis and design such as Midas, STAAD, SAP, RM Bridges.
