Design Director

Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Having relevant sector-specific knowledge, including industry standards and terms of reference.
• Facing experience in large project, or programme environments.
• Having relevant knowledge of RIBA, or other international plans of work, and alignment with WBS.
• Having experience with BIM and BIMM requirements over project lifecycle and WBS.
• Being able to interrogate programmes and critical paths.
• Understanding of client governance requirements across the project life cycle.
• Dealing in aligning design management with alternative procurement routes.
• Managing in preparation of design team structures and delivery team org charts.
• Liaising structuring roles, responsibilities, and requirements of delivery teams.
• Managing design consultant procurement, contract, and fee negotiation.
• Managing assessment and analysis of multi-discipline consultant fee proposals.
• Managing design to target project budgets.
• Managing assessment and analysis of consultant deployment schedules.
  

About You

You have an understanding of project lifecycle and WBS, an understanding of Design Management Scope aligned with PMC and PMO level, experience in the preparation of Project Briefs, Scopes of Service and RFP/ITT issues, understanding of principles of contracts, and law, in respect of design, knowledge of alternative procurement routes, and implications for design delivery, you are in-depth knowledge of construction technology, including offsite and Modern methods of construction including off-site fabrication and techniques, you have knowledge of statutory Approvals for Development Control and Civil defence as applicable, knowledge of applicable International Codes, Standards and Regulatory frameworks, knowledge of industry standards for measurement; BUA, GFA, NIA, GIFA etc.
