Cook - Chinese Cuisine

• Prepare and cook a wide range of Chinese dishes including stirfries noodles soups dim sum and specialty items according to established recipes and techniques.
  
• Ensure all food items are prepared and plated to the highest standards of quality freshness and presentation.
  
• Follow proper food handling storage and sanitation procedures to maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen.
  
• Coordinate with other kitchen staff to expedite orders and ensure timely service during busy periods.
  
• Assist in inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients notifying management of shortages and rotating perishable items as needed.
  
• Adhere to safety and sanitation standards including temperature controls equipment maintenance and compliance with health regulations.
  
• Collaborate with the Head Chef to develop new menu items specials and promotions incorporating creativity and innovation while respecting traditional Chinese culinary principles.
  
• Uphold a positive and collaborative work environment communicating effectively with team members and demonstrating a willingness to assist in various kitchen tasks as required.
  
• Stay updated on industry trends culinary techniques and Chinese cuisine developments to continually enhance your skills and contribute fresh ideas to our menu offerings.
  

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Line Cook specializing in Chinese cuisine preferably in a highvolume restaurant or similar establishment.
  
• Deep knowledge of Chinese cooking techniques ingredients and flavour profiles with the ability to execute traditional recipes and adapt to modern interpretations.
  
• Proficiency in using kitchen equipment such as woks cleavers steamers and fryers with a focus on safety and efficiency.
  
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail ensuring accurate preparation and timely execution of orders.
  
• Ability to work effectively in a fastpaced environment multitasking and prioritising tasks to meet customer demand.
  
• Minimum 6month 2years work experience in commercial kitchen/restaurants/hotels
