Chief Engineer Electrical Electronic

• Establishing of an in-house electrical / electronic development capability to support the various development programmes of HALCON
• Establishing strong liaisons with other groups (such as mechanical, mechatronic, analytical and engineering support & facilities) to ensure high integrity, industrialised, and qualified designs.
• Defining, budgeting and developing of the strategic electrical & electronic engineering facilities including digital & analogue electronics, software & algorithms, electromagnetics, optoelectronics and power electronics.
• Sourcing of experienced personnel and developing of the next generation of engineering staff.
• Managing of subordinates, including mentoring and training.
• Participating in the Development Engineering Management Team.
  

Experience & Education Qualifications:

• Engineering degree (Bachelor, Master or PhD) in electrical, electronic, computer or software engineering
• At least 18 years’ relevant experience working in the development-engineering environment of precision guided munitions
• Working knowledge in the broad spectrum of electrical and electronic engineering as related to guided munition development and manufacturing
• High level technical and managerial experience in the field

• Knowledge of best practices, engineering standards and procedures within the defence industry

• Thorough understanding of the systems engineering process (requirement establishment, development, verification & validation)
