We are looking for a precise ceramic tile fixer to join our construction team. The responsibilities of the ceramic tile fixer include preparing surfaces measuring and cutting tiles and laying and finishing floor and wall tiling to specification.

To be a successful ceramic tile fixer you should have a keen eye for alignment pattern and finish. Ultimately a top-notch ceramic tile fixer should be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather types.

Ceramic Tile Fixer Responsibilities:
  • Reading layout drawings and design specifications for tiling works.
  • Preparing and levelling surfaces prior to tile installation.
  • Measuring marking out and cutting ceramic/porcelain tiles to size.
  • Applying adhesive and laying tiles on floors and walls to the correct alignment and pattern.
  • Applying grout and sealant and ensuring proper levelling and spacing.
  • Checking finished work for evenness alignment and quality.
  • Cleaning tiled surfaces and removing excess adhesive/grout.
  • Cutting tiles around fittings corners and edges accurately.
  • Repairing or replacing damaged tiles as required.
  • Maintaining tools and equipment in good working condition.
Ceramic Tile Fixer Requirements:
  • KCSE
  • Kenyan Passport (valid minimum 1 year validity)
  • Certified Grade Test
  • 3 years working experience
  • A completed apprenticeship in tiling.
  • An NVQ certification in tiling may be advantageous.
  • Basic work experience in construction may be advantageous.
  • A good understanding of health and safety issues.
  • The ability to read and follow technical plans and drawings.
  • The ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Good physical fitness.
  • A keen eye for detail and precision.
  • Strong practical and teamwork skills.
