• Ensure that the security process proceeds strictly according to set security standards
• Recording, investigating and concluding incidents
• Ensure that all records in the video surveillance system are up to date and that all equipment is in excellent working order. Maintain access logs, access control and key control.
• Monitor screen and manage tapes/media/submit incident reports.
• Communicate with police and other monitored radio networks.
• A comprehensive understanding of the equipment they work with. Their job is to delete or archive old video footage as needed, organize old video footage in a disciplined manner, and replace video tapes, CDs, memory cards, hard drives or servers.
• Knowing how to operate video surveillance equipment is not everything there is to being a CCTV operator. In addition, CCTV operators must also be able to maintain and repair the same equipment, whether analog or digital.
• Watch surveillance, investigate, store video footage and submit incident reports.
Qualifications
• high school
• Must have a CCTV Operator Certificate issued by an accredited training institute in the UAE.
• Military or police background is desirable.
• Must be of medium build, mentally and physically healthy.
• Must have a valid first aid certificate which is awarded by an accredited training institute in the UAE.
• Proficiency in English both orally and in writing. Knowledge of Arabic and other languages is desirable.
Knowledge, skill and ability
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
