What you will do
Our client is seeking a Project Manager for our Survey Department based in either office in South Plainfield, NJ or Newfoundland, This position does not allow for working The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a project-based, schedule-driven This position reports directly to the client s Principal Land
As a Survey PM, you will occasionally visit project You may be required to work nights and MFS provides survey services in NJ, NY and PA, and you will be expected to work on projects in all three states, and other locations as
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for all aspects of the survey process including technical aspects, staff management, and staff
- Requires broad based knowledge of all phases of land surveying including boundary analysis, topography, GPS, 3D laser scanning, and construction layout
- Coordinates multiple survey projects involving various survey tasks including estimating and proposal
- Ability to provide supervision and guidance to field crews and office staff and communicate with client representatives and internal engineering project
- Ability to relate to clients and people at all levels of an

- Provide billing reports to management and complete
- Be committed to the ongoing training for yourself and development of MFS Survey
- Prepare and execute quality control reviews, safety and quality assurance procedures, and the final QC of all survey
- Read, analyze, and interpret drawings and the most complex

Requirements:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in land surveying, managing all types of survey projects which includes meeting with clients, budget and schedule management and coordinating field
- Must be highly professionally motivated to a high-quality deliverable and possess broad-based knowledge of boundary, topographic, control and construction survey
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and Leica LGO/Infinity, Leica robotic total stations, GPS and data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Must possess a valid drivers license and have a clean driving
- Must be willing to travel within NJ, NY, PA, and adjoining
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Undergo a background check (required)

Preferences:
- Bachelors or Associates Degree preferred, but not required
- Licensed Land Surveyor (PLS) or a Land Surveyor in training (LSIT) preferred, but not required
- Experience with NYC agencies and survey in the city preferred, but not required
- Experience with MicroStation preferred, but not required
- Experience with Carlson Survey software preferred, but not required
Physical Requirements:
- Continually required to stand, walk, and sit
- Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
- Continually required to talk or hear
- Continually utilize visual acuity to operate office and field equipment
- Frequently exposed to outside weather conditions when on project sites
- Occasionally required to bend, stoop, and kneel
