EBC is actively seeking Field Engineers for our Ontario division where he/she can utilize their extensive knowledge to contribute to the continued success and growth of the organization. The successful candidate will be available for project locations within Ontario, with the possibility of work locations Canada-wide. The Field Engineer will be responsible for planning, developing, and managing the project for construction. This position reports to the Project Engineer/Project Coordinator.
Under the direction of the Project Engineer/Project Coordinator, the Field Engineer is responsible for commencing all internal construction engineering and construction work preparation including construction planning, procurement, and document preparation. Liaison between management and construction as well as attending progress meetings with other parties and coordination of subcontractors in the execution phase of construction projects.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Analysis of drawings for work preparation and construction planning.
Further detailing of engineering and design for construction purposes.
Pre-planning and resource forecasting.
Performance management of subcontractors.
Planning of surface construction activities in coordination with construction and project management team.
Coordination and preparation of project related documents and submittals.
Coordination with design subcontractors and owner representatives.
Development of innovative technical solutions. Comply with applicable regulations and safety policies and procedures.
Produce detailed method statements and job safety hazard analysis.
Produce as-build drawings.
Actively take part in the quality control processes, QA testing and documentation.
Assist other departments as directed by the Project Engineer.
Assist the Superintendent in promoting communication throughout the project team.
Promote EBC to all associated with the project by demonstrating professional skill and a high standard of fairness and integrity.
Perform other related duties as assigned
