PBC Test Technician

Pay Rate: $30-$32
Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm
Position Summary:
The candidate for this role is an experienced engineering technician that is a critical thinker, problem solver, and team player.
Work Requirements
- Must be able to troubleshoot PCBA s and systematic problems, effectively communicate and escalate issues and be able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
- Experience performing functional tests on printed circuit board assemblies (PCBA) and final test products in support of production test requirements and engineering prototyping.
- Must be very experienced in the use of oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzers, multimeters, etc. for tests and measurements.
- Must be experienced in reading schematics of electrical and subsystems, engineering drawings, identify build errors including PCB, components, harnesses, and workmanship issues.
- Be able to understand and execute engineering test procedures, debugging and troubleshooting at the component level on a PCB/PCBA and identifying issues with analog and digital electrical circuits.
- Must have solid experience in soldering and reworking SMT & through hole components to meet engineering specifications and IPC J-STD.
Essential Job Function:
- Perform diagnosis, rework, and repair of PCBA s, final test of product assemblies prior to packaging.
- Participate in technical design reviews for product test specifications and recommend corrective action or design improvements.
- Analytical problem-solving skills and root cause analysis.
- Create documentation for tests and assemblies.
- Ability to fabricate test fixtures, test boards, and solder/remove SMD and through hole components effectively.
- Work in close collaboration with the production department to ensure that all assemblies are properly tested and calibrated on time.
- Ensure product meets order and functional specifications.
- Assist in the maintenance and calibration of test equipment.
- Assist in the development of new Electronic Products.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills able to understand and record reports, procedures, and status updates; able to communicate directly with engineers, manager, and other technicians to ensure a high level of technical support. Should be a leader and able to train others.
- Strong organizational with meticulous attention to detail.
- Additional Qualifications:
- Mechanical knowledge and CAD experience
- Proficiency in the use of software for the design and layout of electronic circuitry.
- Designs for high end, low volume, electrical device products.
- Writing procedures, protocols, and process requirements.
