Training and certifications:
The beach lifeguard may be required to complete a recognized lifeguard and first aid training course. The beach lifeguard must have a sea rescue certificate.
Fitness:
The beach lifeguard must have good physical fitness to deal with emergency situations and swim in the sea quickly.
Swimming skills:
A beach lifeguard must be a skilled swimmer and familiar with water rescue techniques.
