Role Summary

• The Assistant Store Manager (Team Leader) supports the Store Manager in leading the daily store operations, ensuring that all sales, service, and operational objectives are achieved.
• The position demands strong communication, leadership, and multitasking skills to maintain consistency and profitability across the branch.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in executing daily store operations and achieving monthly sales targets.
• Supervise floor activities, staff schedules, and team performance.
• Lead by example in customer service, sales engagement, and complaint resolution.
• Ensure store opening and closing procedures are followed precisely.
• Monitor cash handling, billing accuracy, and POS usage across shifts.
• Assist in stock management, including GRN checks, price tags, and stock rotation.
• Identify training needs and coach sales staff on product knowledge and upselling techniques.
• Coordinate with Warehouse for stock replenishment and fast-moving item requests.
• Submit end-of-day sales summary and staff performance reports to the Store Manager.

Tasks

1. Strengthen staff discipline and attendance tracking to improve punctuality and shift coverage.

2. Implement structured sales coaching sessions to improve product knowledge and

conversion rates.

3. Support Store Manager in daily cash reconciliation to minimize discrepancies.

4. Coordinate with marketing to ensure all promotions are executed on time at store level.

5. Monitor slow-moving items and suggest internal transfer or markdown strategies.

6. Introduce sales leaderboard to motivate staff and reward top performers.

7. Prepare weekly summaries on team performance, attendance, and issues for management review.
