Develops and maintains systems for the design consultant covering the areas of budgeting, cost control, estimating and reporting.
Reviews various construction project activities for variances and submits them for management approvals.
Ensures that cost estimating and cost control requirements for variances are included in tender specification documents.
Reviews cost estimates provided by the consultant/contractor and ensures compliance with contractual agreement, drawings and specifications, and accuracy of company requirements.
Reviews bill of quantities prepared by design consultants and contractors and ensures they are in accordance with drawings and specifications.
Verifies project control budgets and updates them as appropriate for management approval.
Prepares and reviews forecasts for final project costs, including variances, taking into account liabilities.
Reviews and approves advanced payments and final accounts in coordination with the project team.
Prepares and updates cost statements to review cost estimates provided by the design consultant.
Reviews final cost reports, asset records, and project closure reports for compliance with contract requirements.
Reviews change requests, contract trend notices, variance requests, claims, etc.
Performs other similar or related duties, as assigned.
Keeps himself informed of the relevant quality, environmental, safety and occupational health policies in place within Hill International, and ensures ongoing compliance with these requirements while working for Hill.
Performs other duties as instructed by Line Manager/Supervisor.
Required profile of candidates
Bachelor's degree in Engineering/QS, or related degree.
At least 12 or more years of relevant experience.
The approved engineering quantity is preferred.
