- Oversee the daily operations of the fresh fruits and vegetables warehouse, including receiving, storage, and distribution.
- Ensure the quality and freshness of all fruits and vegetables in the warehouse, implementing proper storage and handling procedures.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely and accurate delivery of fresh produce.
- Develop and implement inventory management strategies to optimize stock levels and minimize wastage.
- Train and supervise warehouse staff, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and efficient workflow.
- Monitor and analyze warehouse performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate the shipment of fresh produce to retail outlets or customers.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of the warehouse to ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
- Stay updated with industry trends and regulations related to fresh fruits and vegetables to make informed decisions and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, orders, and shipments using warehouse management software.
