Job Description
Education and training:
An HVAC technician is usually required to have a technical diploma or certificate in the field of air conditioning and refrigeration. Some jobs require special certifications such as RAC (air conditioning and refrigeration) certification.
Experience:
Experience in the field of maintenance and repair of air conditioning systems is an added advantage. It is preferable to have previous experience in this field.
Technical knowledge:
You should be aware of different types of air conditioning systems and refrigeration equipment and how to maintain and repair them.
communication skills:
Must be able to interact with customers and explain modifications and repairs effectively.
