Accountant Accounts Payable AP

We are seeking an Accountant [Accounts Payable (AP)] for an Automotive Group which has a passion for designing and producing wonderful and innovative automotive products for vehicle manufacturers and distributors.

As an Accountant [Accounts Payable (AP)] your primary role is to provide financial, administrative, and clerical support by processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices, monitoring expenses, and keeping the records for tax and bookkeeping purposes.

Responsibilities include:

• Reviewing and recording freight invoices to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  
• Analyzing research & development, customer-wise freight outbound expense, and other income details on a monthly basis.
  
• Preparing supplier advances/pre-payment invoices in the system as per the payment terms.
  
• Creating all OPEX-related invoices in MSD and submitting them for review.
  
• Preparing and reconciling supplier payments and submitting payment requests to ensure timely payments to suppliers.
  
• Creating BPVs in the system against each payment request.
  
• Preparing import details based on customs declarations for VAT return to Finance Manager.
  
• Preparing bank reconciliations on a monthly basis, arranging reviews and approvals.
  
• Assisting in monthly closing and TB analysis.
  

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  
• Certified Management Accountant (CMA) / Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) / Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Accountant (CA) / Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
  
• 1-2 years (s) of relevant experience in preparing P&L, balance sheet, cash flow, booking AP Invoices, suppliers reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and closing of account payables.
  
• Strong working knowledge of MS Excel.
  
• Attention to accuracy and detail required.
