The Department of Information Systems and Security, College of Information Technology (CIT), United Arab Emirates University (UAEU) invites highly qualified individuals to apply for a faculty position in Information Security. The CIT seeks candidates who can contribute to its growing undergraduate and graduate programs in information security, through excellence in teaching and research. Candidates with interdisciplinary research in areas related to information security are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates are expected to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses in areas related to Information Security and they are also expected to advise students at the undergraduate and graduate levels. Demonstrable research capability that will enable the candidate to develop and sustain an internally and/or externally funded research program in his/her area of expertise, publish his/her research findings in refereed journals/conferences, and actively engage in promoting the growth of the UAEU is a must. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in Information Security or a closely related field with a demonstrated record of research accomplishments and experience in writing and securing research grants. Innovative teaching skills with experience in blended learning and teaching methodologies are highly desired. Faculty rank is commensurate with qualifications and experience with preferences given to Assistant Professors. The College has undergraduate programs in information technology, computer science, information security and computer engineering. The college is also home to a number of graduate programs including an MSc and a Ph.D. in information security.
