Job Description
Position: QA/QC Inspector Mechanical
Role Overview:
We are hiring a detail-oriented QA/QC Inspector Mechanical to ensure all mechanical works comply with project specifications industry standards and client requirements. The role involves inspecting and verifying HVAC plumbing and firefighting systems at various stages of construction.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct inspections of mechanical installations (HVAC plumbing drainage firefighting) to ensure compliance with approved drawings specifications and standards.
Raise inspection requests (IRs) and coordinate with consultants for approvals.
Review method statements ITPs and material submittals to ensure technical accuracy.
Monitor and document site activities ensuring quality procedures are implemented.
Identify non-conformances (NCRs) recommend corrective actions and follow up on rectification.
Assist in testing and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Prepare daily QA/QC reports and maintain proper documentation for inspections and tests.
Ensure materials received on-site are as per approved submittals and project requirements.
Support internal audits and third-party inspections.
Ensure compliance with safety standards and local authority regulations.
Requirements:
Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
58 years of experience in QA/QC for MEP construction projects (UAE/GCC preferred).
Good knowledge of HVAC plumbing and fire protection systems.
Familiar with international codes and standards (ASHRAE SMACNA NFPA IPC).
Strong documentation reporting and communication skills.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
Experience with authority approvals and documentation (DCD DM etc.) is a plus.
