Job Description

As the Policy Advocacy Counsel you will be involved in contributing to create a favourable business environment helping businesses achieve their vision and strategic objectives. The key aspects of this role will be legal research and international benchmarking as well as analysing business issues, interpreting advocacy, legal issues and reviewing drafts of new business law amendments.

You will manage communication with stakeholders, assist in preparing reports and review business plans as well as work closely with any business internal and external committees.

This role will sit within the Legal Affairs team and will directly report to the Senior Manager of the team.

Requirements

To be considered for this role you should have a BA in Law with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position ideally with a focus on Local, Civil and Common Law. You should have strong knowledge of policy making and policy advocacy process. A keen interest in research and academic work related to commercial and economic laws and regulations is key for success in this role.
