Job Description
- Responsible for performing and observing hematological, biochemical, serological and specially requested tests on patients' specimens and correctly records all results.
- Uses and maintains all laboratory equipment correctly.
- Records and maintain the daily control, calibration and maintenance record for the various instruments in the laboratory.
- Immediately notifies the patient care unit or physician of any critical test results. Interacts professionally with all department members, physicians' staff, administration and the Director of Clinical Laboratory and Pathology.
- Responsible for the collecting, testing and storing of blood.
- Maintains blood bank records.
- Performs blood bank procedures and maintain the blood bank documentation record appropriately.
