Job Description:
The primary objective of this role is to maintain and update our Hotel Refurbishment Database. The freelancer will be responsible for researching and collecting detailed information about hotels in the GCC region with a particular focus on their refurbishment activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Update hotel profiles with the following information:
- Name of the Hotel
- Rating
- Location
- Year of inception
- Details about ongoing refurbishments including:
- Type (Fitout Floor Kitchen Pool Gym Laundry Rooms Bath Fit Outs etc.)
- Status (Ongoing Planned Completed)
- Start/End Date
- Identify and record key contacts for each hotel including:
- Head of Housekeeping
- Head of Engineering
- Head of Procurement
- General Manager
- Head of MEP Division
- Head of Maintenance
- For smaller hotels (23 star) any other relevant contact regarding refurbishment information
- Conduct proactive outreach to hotels to gather uptodate information on refurbishment projects
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive records in the database
- Provide regular updates and reports on database status and new opportunities identified
Skills and Qualifications:
- Experience in the hotel industry particularly procurement purchasing housekeeping or administration departments or even as Sales Coordinators
- Strong research and data collection skills
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Persuasive and persistent approach to information gathering
- Ability to bypass gatekeepers and obtain necessary information from key decisionmakers
- Proficiency in database management and data entry
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Selfmotivated and able to work independently
- Fluency in English (written and spoken)
- Arabic language skills would be an added advantage
- Familiarity with the GCC hospitality market is preferred
