Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect potential clients in the fire safety and life safety sectors.
  • Meet with clients to discuss their requirements, deliver presentations, and provide technical consultations.
  • Analyze client needs and customize solutions by selecting appropriate products and services.
  • Prepare and deliver sales proposals and contracts to clients.
  • Renew AMC’S on time and support with collection- as needed-
  • Follow up on conversion (free maintenance to AMC)
  • Have a clear understanding on modernization and repairs.
  • Develop long-term relationships with clients for repeat business and referrals.
  • Provide post-sales support and training to clients.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, proposals, and projects.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Stay updated with industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to provide informed recommendations to clients.

Requirements

  • BSc. Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a sales or technical engineering role within the fire and life safety industry.
  • Strong understanding of fire protection systems, life safety equipment, and building code requirements.
  • Knowledge in AutoCAD and other design software for reviewing drawings and schematics.
  • Familiarity with fire alarm and suppression systems, including installation and maintenance.
  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

  • Technical Product Expertise:

    • Product Knowledge: Understanding the technical specifications, functionalities, and applications of the products or services being sold.
    • Demonstrations: Conducting product demonstrations to show how the product works and how it can benefit the customer.
    • Customizing Solutions: Advising customers on how to tailor products to meet their specific needs, offering customized solutions and configurations.
  • Sales and Lead Generation:

    • Lead Generation: Identifying and generating new business leads through networking, referrals, and research on potential clients in the target market.
    • Prospecting and Qualifying Leads: Reaching out to potential clients, qualifying leads, and determining whether a product is a good fit for their needs.
    • Sales Presentations: Creating and delivering technical presentations to showcase how the product can solve the customer’s problems.
  • Client Interaction and Relationship Building:

    • Consultative Selling: Engaging with clients to understand their specific challenges, objectives, and requirements, and recommending the best solutions based on technical capabilities.
    • Relationship Management: Building long-term relationships with clients, ensuring they are satisfied with the product, and offering after-sales support.
    • Customer Support: Assisting customers during the purchase process, helping with questions, and providing technical information.
  • Proposal and Quotation Preparation:

    • Creating Proposals: Preparing detailed proposals and quotations based on customer requirements and technical specifications.
    • Pricing: Working with internal teams to develop pricing strategies and ensuring the customer receives accurate cost estimates for the product or service.
    • Negotiation: Discussing pricing, terms, and conditions with customers and negotiating to reach mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Collaboration with Sales and Engineering Teams:

    • Working with Sales Teams: Collaborating with sales colleagues to align technical solutions with business goals and customer expectations.
    • Coordination with Engineering Teams: Working closely with the engineering or product development teams to ensure product specifications align with customer requirements, and to communicate customer feedback for improvements.
  • Market Research and Competitor Analysis:

    • Market Insights: Staying informed about industry trends, new technologies, and emerging customer needs to effectively position the company’s product in the marketplace.
    • Competitor Analysis: Understanding the competitive landscape, analyzing competitor products, and highlighting unique selling points of the company’s offerings.
  • Technical Support and Training:

    • Pre-Sales Support: Providing technical advice and support to the sales team during the sales cycle.
    • Post-Sales Support: Ensuring the product is successfully implemented and that customers have the necessary support, troubleshooting, and training they need.
    • Customer Training: Offering training sessions to help customers understand how to use the product effectively and achieve their goals.
  • Reporting and Performance Tracking:

    • Sales Reporting: Maintaining detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and technical solutions provided.
    • Tracking Performance: Monitoring sales performance and customer satisfaction, and identifying areas for improvement.
    • Sales Forecasting: Providing forecasts for future sales based on client feedback, market trends, and performance data.
