Job Description
We are seeking a talented and innovative Geotechnical Engineer to join our team in Dubai ( Site based). As a key member of our engineering team you will play a crucial role in analyzing soil/sand conditions designing foundations and ensuring the stability and safety of various construction projects in the region.
- Conduct site investigations and soil testing to determine geotechnical properties and soil behavior
- Analyze data from field and laboratory tests to assess ground conditions and potential risks
- Design foundations retaining structures and earth support systems for buildings and infrastructure projects
- Prepare detailed geotechnical reports including site characterization engineering analyses and design recommendations
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural engineers architects and construction managers
- Provide technical guidance and support during construction phases to address geotechnical issues
- Develop and implement innovative solutions to complex geotechnical problems
- Ensure compliance with local building codes standards and regulations in the UAE
- Monitor project progress and conduct site visits to verify geotechnical aspects of construction
- Stay updated on the latest geotechnical engineering techniques and technologies
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the professional development of the team
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited university; Masters degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe
- Proven experience in geotechnical consulting and field investigations
- Strong knowledge of soil mechanics foundation engineering and earth retention systems
- Proficiency in geotechnical analysis software such as gINT GeoStudio (SEEP/W SLOPE/W) PLAXIS and FLAC
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills with keen attention to detail
- Outstanding verbal and written communication abilities including technical report writing
- Familiarity with UAE building codes standards and local construction practices
- Experience working in the Middle East region particularly in the UAE is highly desirable
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
- Strong project management skills and experience leading geotechnical projects
- Willingness to perform occasional field work and travel to project sites
