Roles and responsibilities
The Lead Electrical Engineer at KBR will play a pivotal role in the successful execution of the BP_ROO_EPCM project in Abu Dhabi. This position involves leading the electrical engineering team, ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of electrical design and engineering solutions for onshore and brownfield projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in FEED, design, and onshore projects, with the ability to provide technical expertise, mentorship, and guidance to the team. Job Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise and leadership in all electrical engineering aspects of the project.
- Lead the electrical design and engineering team to ensure project deliverables are met within the specified timeline and budget.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems.
- Conduct technical reviews, analysis, and assessments to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
- Develop and review electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and reports.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior electrical engineers and support staff.
- Develop and implement electrical engineering strategies and plans to meet project objectives.
- Review and approve technical specifications, drawings, and calculations for electrical systems.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations in all electrical engineering activities.
- Coordinate with clients, vendors, and subcontractors to address electrical engineering requirements and resolve technical issues.
- Participate in project meetings, progress reviews, and risk assessments to provide input on electrical engineering matters.
- Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor the progress and quality of electrical installations.
- Support procurement activities by preparing technical specifications, evaluating bids, and selecting electrical equipment and materials.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules related to electrical engineering scope.
- Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering to drive innovation and efficiency in project delivery.
