Job Description

Roles and responsibilities

  • Identify and develop potential, sustainable customer relationships and engage with them (in collaboration with Sales and Account management team) in developing solutions for them across air and ocean.
  • Provide leadership in the areas of product and business development, resource utilization
  • Facilitate and support efforts in maintaining healthy relationships with trade bodies and government agencies & and authorities, including being an active subscriber or participant of global research agencies.
  • Guide and Support implementation of programs such as security regulation to meet country-mandated regulatory requirements.
  • Lead Noatum ME in carrier contact/negotiation (for Air and Ocean Freight) according to corporate policy and regional requirements.
  • Evaluate the performance of Ocean and Air carriers and engage with them on rates, performance and solutions design

Responsibilities

  • Drive collaboration across the Commercial team for pricing of Ocean and Air Freight products, and engage with the Tender management team to develop long term pricing strategies for Air and Ocean freight tenders
  • Define, implement, monitor, and enforce service and quality standards, in cooperation with product management (in Regional Office).
  • Establish pricing strategies to improve EBIT results for Ocean and Air Freight at a country and region level
  • Develop volume targets in line with the Global targets and the market context and develop product and pricing strategy for achievement of the volumes.
  • Ensure product compliance with industry and internal policies and standards.
  • Ensure continuous improvement by implementing First Choice, Station Improvements, and adherence to quality policies.
  • Grow the air and ocean forwarding revenue and market share in collaboration with other stakeholders both in the region and corporate office
  • Publish weekly, and monthly reports and other ad-hoc reports as may be required by management.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Finance, Accounting or Management; MBA highly preferred

  • Team Collaboration: Leading and coordinating cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing, and sales, to execute the product strategy.
  • Mentorship: Coaching and mentoring junior product managers to enhance team performance and skill development.
  • Stakeholder Management: Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to gather input, align priorities, and secure buy-in for product initiatives.

3. Customer-Centric Focus

  • Customer Insights: Gathering and analyzing customer feedback to identify pain points and opportunities for product improvement.
  • User Experience (UX): Advocating for a seamless and intuitive user experience as a critical element of product success.
  • Customer Success: Ensuring that the product delivers value and supports customer goals, driving satisfaction and retention.

4. Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills

  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Using data analytics, KPIs, and metrics to evaluate product performance, identify trends, and guide decisions.
  • Critical Thinking: Addressing complex problems with innovative, practical, and scalable solutions.
  • Risk Assessment: Identifying potential risks in product development or market introduction and mitigating them proactively.

5. Technical and Business Acumen

  • Technical Knowledge: Understanding of the product’s technical aspects and the ability to communicate effectively with engineering teams.
  • Business Strategy: Linking product strategy to broader business goals, such as revenue growth, market expansion, or operational efficiency.
  • Financial Acumen: Managing budgets, forecasting revenue, and analyzing ROI for product investments.

  • Market Research: Conducting market analysis to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities.

2. Product Development

  • Feature Prioritization: Prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer needs, market demand, and business impact.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with engineering, design, and QA teams to ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products.
