Job Description
International Community Schools Abu Dhabi is seeking for Senior Purchasing Officer will oversee and manage all procurement activities to support the smooth functioning of the school. The ideal candidate must have prior experience in educational institutions ensuring the timely and costeffective acquisition of highquality goods and services while complying with school policies and regulatory requirements.
Handle the procurement of educational materials classroom supplies technology furniture and facilityrelated items.
Source reliable vendors and negotiate contracts to secure the best value for the school.
Manage the endtoend purchasing process ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
Collaborate with the Finance Department to monitor purchasing budgets and control costs effectively.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with school policies and local regulations.
Maintain accurate records of purchases supplier agreements and related documentation.
Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and service providers.
Evaluate supplier performance and address any issues related to quality delivery or pricing.
Work closely with school leaders teachers and staff to understand and meet specific operational needs.
Anticipate requirements for upcoming academic terms and special school projects.
Identify opportunities to streamline procurement processes and implement best practices.
Regularly review market trends to ensure competitive pricing and quality.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Supply Chain Management or a related field.
510 years of procurement experience preferably in a school environment.
Strong negotiation communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office.
Familiarity with educational supplies facility management needs and vendor contracts.
Knowledge of UAE procurement regulations is a plus.
