Design Team Leader

Roles and responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Team Leader of PCBA Test Design Development Engineering to join our team in Dubai.

What You’ll Do

• In this role the Team Leader of Test Design Development Engineering will oversee and coordinate the PCBA structural test development and will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing test solutions for our printed circuit board products
• Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met on time and adhering to approved budgets
• Manages subordinate test design development engineers in the day-to-day performance of their jobs
• As Team Leader will report directly to engineering manager
• Interraction with different R&D groups from across the company to develop structural test strategies for printed circuit boards including functionat test, flying probe and in-circuit test platforms
• Development of test fixtures both hardware and software including program development quotations, schedules, documentation, validation, and release to production. This will include the design of electronic circuits, wiring and test software to attain full test automation.
• You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality and reliability of our products, contributing to deliver high-quality products to our customers
• Provide technical support to manufacturing including hands-on debug of test systems.
• Contribute to project plans by providing time-scale estimates.
• Collaborate with various functional skills in overall printed circuit board, higher level assembly and system level test development planning and execution
• Contribute to the company’s production engineering objectives regarding new product introduction, process improvement and lean manufacturing.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering / Engineering Technology, or a related field
• 5+ years of related experience of Test Design Engineering or similar
• 2+ years of team leader experience or similar

Desired candidate profile

• Proven track record in a test development environment.
• Design and application experience of production test equipment.
• Experience of PCB design and assembly for test fixtures.
• Your drive, problem-solving abilities, and willingness to adapt can make a positive impression
• Knowledge / experience of cellular manufacture, Lean Manufacturing, kaizen, and 5S would be an advantage.
