Roles and responsibilities
We are looking for a Senior QAQC Engineer specializing in Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to ensure that all quality standards and specifications are met throughout the project lifecycle.
Job Responsibility
- Develop and implement quality control procedures for MEP systems in accordance with project requirements.
- Conduct inspections and tests on MEP installations to verify compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Identify and address any deviations or non-conformities in MEP work, and ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with the project team to provide technical expertise and support for quality-related matters.
- Review and approve quality documentation, including test reports, inspection records, and quality plans.
- Lead a team of QAQC Engineers and inspectors to ensure consistent quality performance across the project.
Candidate Requirements
- MOFA attested bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in QAQC roles, with a focus on MEP systems.
- Proven expertise in quality control procedures and standards for MEP installations.
- Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively coordinate with project teams.
- Certification in quality control (e.g., ASQ Certified Quality Engineer) is a plus.

1. Quality Assurance (QA) Responsibilities
- Process Improvement: Develop, implement, and continuously improve quality management systems (QMS), procedures, and standards to ensure that the organization’s processes and outputs consistently meet the desired quality levels.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to product quality and develop strategies to mitigate those risks early in the production or project lifecycle.
- Documentation and Compliance: Ensure compliance with both internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements. Maintain accurate documentation related to quality assurance processes, inspections, and corrective actions.
- Training and Awareness: Educate and train employees on quality standards, procedures, and best practices to ensure a culture of quality across the organization.
- Audit Management: Conduct internal audits to ensure adherence to quality standards and policies. This includes reviewing production processes and ensuring compliance with certifications (e.g., ISO 9001, ASME, API standards).
2. Quality Control (QC) Responsibilities
- Product Inspection and Testing: Conduct inspections and tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure that they meet predefined quality standards and specifications. This can include visual inspections, functional testing, or using specialized measurement tools.
- Defect Identification and Reporting: Identify defects or non-conformities in products and processes and report them to the appropriate team or management. This includes conducting root cause analysis and recommending corrective and preventive actions.
- Measurement and Calibration: Ensure that all measurement instruments and testing equipment are properly calibrated and meet industry standards for accuracy.
- Sample Testing and Analysis: Collect and analyze product samples to check for conformity with quality standards. This may involve mechanical testing, chemical analysis, or other specialized tests depending on the product or industry.
- Documentation of Findings: Document all inspections, test results, and non-conformities. Ensure that all documentation is accurately maintained for reporting, traceability, and compliance with quality standards.
3. Supplier Quality Management
- Supplier Evaluation: Evaluate and assess suppliers and subcontractors based on their ability to meet quality standards. Conduct supplier audits, quality assessments, and performance reviews.
- Material Inspection: Inspect and verify that incoming materials meet quality standards before they are used in production. Work with the purchasing department to ensure that the materials meet required specifications.
- Supplier Performance Improvement: Work with suppliers to resolve quality-related issues, and help implement corrective and preventive actions to improve the overall quality of supplied materials.
