Roles and responsibilities
1. Strategic Planning and Opportunity Identification
- Market Research: Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, industry shifts, and new business opportunities. This includes studying competitors, customer preferences, and market conditions.
- Business Strategy: Develop and implement business development strategies to expand the company’s reach, improve market position, and drive revenue growth.
- Opportunity Identification: Identify and evaluate new business opportunities, including potential markets, new customer segments, product offerings, and geographic regions.
- Growth Roadmap: Develop and maintain a roadmap for business growth, setting clear, actionable objectives to achieve short- and long-term goals.
2. Client Acquisition and Relationship Management
- Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new business leads, building a robust pipeline of potential clients and customers.
- Networking: Leverage existing professional networks and attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to establish new business contacts and partnerships.
- Customer Engagement: Engage with new and existing clients, understand their needs, and provide tailored solutions that address their pain points.
- Partnership Development: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with strategic partners, suppliers, vendors, and other stakeholders to create collaborative opportunities.
3. Sales and Revenue Generation
- Sales Strategy: Develop and execute targeted sales strategies to meet revenue targets and business growth goals.
- Negotiation and Closing: Lead negotiations, close deals, and secure contracts with clients, ensuring that terms and pricing are favorable for the company.
- Sales Presentations: Create compelling sales presentations and proposals to win new business and retain clients.
- Client Retention: Ensure that relationships with clients remain strong, providing ongoing support, addressing concerns, and looking for upsell or cross-sell opportunities.
4. Collaboration with Internal Teams
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and operations teams to ensure alignment in strategy, messaging, and execution.
- Product/Service Development: Provide feedback from clients and market trends to inform product/service development teams and improve offerings.
- Customer Feedback: Gather feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to continuously improve the sales process, customer experience, and product offerings.
Desired candidate profile
- Identifying sales leads / researching organizations and individuals to find new opportunities.
- Contacting potential clients to establish rapport and arrange business meetings.
- Promote the company products/services addressing or predicting client's objectives.
- Prepare sales contract/documents ensuring adherence to company rules and guidelines.
- Managing and retaining relationship with new and existing clients.
- Managing records of sales, revenue, invoices, and other important data.
- Developing ways to improve customer experience by providing trustworthy feedback and after-sales support.

What equips you for the role:
- Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
- Candidates with prior outdoor sales experience in the field of insurance or financial services including banks with similar job responsibilities would be preferred.
- Should have a keen desire to succeed and progress in the industry.
- Successful candidates will be offered a fixed salary plus commission or full commission.
