Roles and responsibilities
Network & Security Design:
- Develop detailed network designs and architectures, including LAN, WAN, and cloud-based networks, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Design and implement comprehensive security strategies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, VPNs, and encryption technologies.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and local regulations.
Collaboration:
- Engage with clients to gather and analyse business requirements, assess existing network and security setups, and provide actionable recommendations.
- Responsible for interfacing with the Sales & operations team in developing the solution design and the project deliverables.
- Coordinate with the project’s stakeholders, such as clients, architects, consultants from other disciplines, and contractors.
Business Excellence
- Prepare product and solution matrix to enhance our portfolio by introducing new products and solutions.
- Maintain relationships with AFT business partners, suppliers and vendors.
- Compare possible solutions with competitors’ solutions in terms of price, quality and performance and prepare supporting arguments for presentation and negotiation with the customer.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay updated on industry trends, technology advancements, and relevant standards and codes to improve design practices.
- Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance skills and knowledge.
Documentation and Reporting
- Prepare technical documentation, including design reports, test plans, and Solution drawings.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and clients.

What Equips you for the role:
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge:
- Graduate Engineer in Electronics / Electrical or equivalent
- CCDP, CCNP, or Equivalent certification is a MUST. CCIE / CISSP will be highly preferred.
- Certified in Designing Solutions: WCNP, ACDX, or AQPS is an added advantage.
Minimum Experience:
- Must have 5+ years of experience designing and project management for Network systems.
Job-Specific Skills:
- Software-Defined Networks - Wired & Wireless and Cloud-based Network Solutions
- Product Knowledge of Cisco, Aruba, Dell, Alcatel, and Ruckus.
- Security Solutions: Multi-Layered Security Solution, Next Generation Firewalls, SDWAN.
- Good knowledge of Voice & IP Telephony, Wireless, Security, SD-WAN, Virtualization & NMS
- Must have complete network lifecycle experience, including requirements gathering, solution mapping, testing, documentation, configuration, and maintenance
- Implementation of tiered network architecture / Campus networks
Desired candidate profile
1. Customer Engagement and Requirements Gathering
- Customer Discovery: Engage with prospective customers to understand their business needs, technical requirements, and pain points. This involves direct communication through meetings, calls, and presentations.
- Solution Design: Collaborate with the sales team to design customized solutions based on the customer's requirements. This includes determining the right products, services, and configurations that will address their needs.
- Needs Assessment: Conduct detailed technical assessments to gather the customer’s requirements, helping to tailor the proposed solution.
2. Product Demonstrations and Presentations
- Product Demos: Deliver live product demonstrations, walkthroughs, and presentations that showcase the features, functionalities, and benefits of the solution being sold. This often includes showing how the product solves the specific issues the client is facing.
- Proof of Concept (PoC): Work with the customer to implement a small-scale, trial version of the solution (PoC) that demonstrates how the product will work in the customer’s environment.
- Solution Customization: Tailor product demonstrations to the specific technical needs of each customer, highlighting relevant features and addressing potential concerns.
- Customer Education: Educate potential clients on the full range of product features and how these can benefit their business.
3. Collaboration with Sales Team
- Sales Support: Collaborate closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements, communicate the technical capabilities of the product, and help shape sales strategies.
- Proposal Development: Help the sales team in preparing technical proposals, including writing the technical sections of RFPs (Request for Proposals), RFQs (Request for Quotes), and tenders.
- Customer Objection Handling: Assist the sales team by addressing technical objections or concerns raised by customers during the sales process.
- Bid Management: Support the creation and submission of bids, ensuring all technical aspects are well defined and aligned with customer expectations.
